Flux: Glaze Chemistry — Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-06-07
The short version
Flux: Glaze Chemistry does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything you enter (recipes, material weights, target cone, notes) stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or usage data.
What we store on your device
The app saves your recipes (name, target cone, materials and weight percents, notes) locally on your device using iOS SwiftData. This data:
- Lives only on your device. It is not synced to iCloud unless you have enabled device-level iCloud Backup for the app, in which case it is encrypted by Apple and inaccessible to us.
- Is never transmitted to Moon Dog, Daria Kopaliani, Roman Kopaliani, or any third party.
- Is deleted when you delete the app.
Network usage
Flux makes no network requests for its core functionality. Material chemistry data and limit-formula reference ranges are bundled into the app at install time. The app does not phone home, check for updates outside the App Store mechanism, or fetch remote content.
Material chemistry data sources
The bundled material chemistry data is sourced from Glazy (CC-licensed) and cross-referenced against Digitalfire. Limit-formula targets are cited per source (Digitalfire general, Sue McLeod cone 6, Hesselberth & Roy cone 6) in each warning. These sources are not contacted at runtime; their data is embedded in the app.
Children's privacy
Flux is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone of any age (because it does not collect data at all).
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will appear here with a new effective date.
