Crop: Hydroponic Calculator — Privacy Policy

The short version

Crop does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything you enter (reservoirs, recipes, EC and pH log entries, notes) stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or usage data.

What we store on your device

The app saves your per-reservoir profile (name, volume, active recipe key, notes), your EC and pH log entries (timestamp, EC, pH, optional notes), and your saved custom recipes locally on your device using SwiftData. App-wide preferences (EC scale, volume and weight units) are stored in iOS UserDefaults. This data:

• Stays on your device only
• Is not transmitted anywhere
• Is removed if you delete the app

In-app purchases

Crop is a one-time paid app. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. The purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see your Apple ID, payment method, or billing information — Apple handles all of that under their own privacy policy.

What we share

Nothing. We have nothing to share because we collect nothing.

Third-party services

None. Crop does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, including analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or AI providers.

Network access

The app does not require an internet connection to function. The only network calls it can make are to outbound links you tap (Cornell, Penn State, UF/IFAS, Produce Grower citation references) which open in Safari. No other network requests are made.

Children's privacy

Crop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected or stored off your device, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. To remove all locally stored app data, delete the app from your device.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
