How often should you seal pest entry points?
Every fall. On a calendar: September.
Why it matters
Mice need a gap the width of a pencil. Fall is when they move indoors, and exclusion beats trapping every time.
How to do it
Inspect where pipes and cables enter the house, door sweeps, and foundation vents. Seal small gaps with sealant and larger ones with steel wool plus sealant.
Signs you've waited too long
Droppings in the garage or pantry, or scratching in walls at night.
Same part of the house
Gable keeps this list for you.
The Gable app builds your home's maintenance schedule, reminds you when tasks come due, and keeps the record of everything you've done. Coming soon to iPhone.
