How often should you reverse ceiling fan direction?
Twice a year. On a calendar: May and October.
Why it matters
Counterclockwise pushes a cooling breeze down in summer; clockwise on low pulls warm air off the ceiling in winter. Same fan, two seasons of use.
How to do it
Flip the small direction switch on the motor housing (or in the fan's app). Dust the blades while you're up there.
